2025 Wrap-Up: Disastrous End of Year Zoom Call

FOR RELEASE: 12.31.2025

BravoBay 2025 Wrap-Up Call Ends in Awards, Hellhounds, and Multiple Unresolved Sequels

Status: Cleared for public release (somehow)

BravoBay HQ convened its annual End-of-Year Zoom Call this week, confirming once again that creativity thrives best when slightly out of control. After establishing a quorum (and reminding everyone—again—how the mute button works), the following highlights were officially logged.

In attendance:

  • Rey from her short film “Rey: My So-Called Tatooine Life”
  • Alex Caldwyn from “Historians Proper”
  • Kit Ryder from up-coming sexy sci-fi “The Edge”
  • Victor Von Lichtenstein from “Slay Bells Ring”
  • Mizuke Blu from “Battle Tides”
  • Dan Helsing from “Slay Bells Ring”
  • Moose & Peanut from “Battle Tides”
  • And a brief cameo from Devon Ayre and Azurrah from “Devon Ayre: Ghost Detective”
  • Hosted by BravoBay Veep of Creative Development, David Acuff

📚 CONFIRMED SUCCESS METRICS

  • Historians Proper has officially crossed 1,500 copies sold, proving time travel still sells—especially when handled irresponsibly.
  • Battle Tides surged past 1,600 copies, with reviews described as “prettying great” (verbatim).
  • Slay Bells Ring reportedly exceeded 5,000 copies sold, though further growth was hindered when the BravoBay marketing department was eaten by a hellhound during a stunt activation. (RIP Marketing) Cleanup ongoing. East Wing stairwell remains… questionable.

🎬 FILM & TRAILER OPERATIONS

  • Assassin Trainee took home Best Comedy at the Texas Short Film Festival, confirming that professional filmmaking and chaos are not mutually exclusive.
  • Multiple book trailers were deployed successfully, including:
    • No Elevator to Everest by Will Acuff
    • The Edge (trailer + music video)
    • Milford Haven boxed set by Mara Purl

🏆 AMAZON BESTSELLER UNIT: EXPANDING

The BravoBay Bestseller Club added several new members in 2025, including:

  • Kirstin Leigh (Just J)
  • Marian Butland & Victoria Gleichman (Faithful Friendship Journal)
  • Geoff & Ramya Black (If I Had a Unicorn Friend)
  • Erin R. Dooley (Shadows of Death)

Teamwork, Acuff noted during the call, continues to make the dream work. Ahem.

👻 NEW PROJECTS (TOP SECRET, PROBABLY)

  • Devon Ayre: Ghost Detective was accidentally announced during an active case in Harbortown.
  • The Edge, the long-awaited “sexy sci-fi” project, is targeting 2026.

❓ OPEN ITEMS (CARRYOVER TO 2026)

  • Sequels requested for:
    • Battle Tides
    • Slay Bells Ring
    • Whatever Rey is doing on Tatooine

🍹 CLOSING NOTES

The meeting adjourned on schedule due to rising sequel demands and cantina drink specials. Staff were encouraged to “keep up the great work” and “stay strapped (with high capacity machine guns) if still in the building.” Drinks were half-price at Mos Eisley Cantina. Attendance was optional. Survival was not guaranteed.

Here’s to BravoBay 2026.
See you around the shop.
