🎬 Assassin Trainee — A Comedy Short Film With a Killer Twist
When Abilene Christian University sent a handful of students to Hollywood for a three-week immersive program, none of us knew we were about to create one of the funniest, most professional short films the program has ever produced. The students took one look at the script and immediately erupted in laughter. People who weren’t even planning to audition suddenly wanted roles. And that energy carried straight onto the set.

We’re thrilled that Assassin Trainee took home the Best Comedy Award at the Texas Short Film Festival. The comedic tone, the cast’s timing, and the students’ behind-the-scenes excellence truly made this film stand out.
